Language and Culture in Barcelona, Spain

The Summer Institute in Spain is designed for students with intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish proficiency. Courses are taught by University of Kansas faculty and staff and native instructors from Spain. The academic program begins with a nine-day tour by bus from Madrid to various cities in the central and northern regions of the peninsula. Following the tour, the group settles in Barcelona for five weeks of intensive coursework. During this five-week period, the group takes two weekend excursions, to the Dalí Museum on the Costa Brava and to the Valle de Boí for a local festival.

Travel Period
