Students participating on the EU Atlantis Chemistry Program will spend one academic year abroad with one semester at Dublin City University in Ireland and one semester at the University of Regensburg in Germany. The Curriculum will offer special opportunities for training and research in drug development/combinational chemistry, green chemistry/environmentally beneficial catalysis, nanotechnology or sensors, reflecting the strength of the partners invovled. Elective classes in language and cultural instructions accompany the program.
This program is open to students at various stages in their academic career.

KU students who qualify for financial aid in the form of Stafford and/or other loans, Pell or SEOG Grants, and scholarships may apply the aid to the cost of a Study Abroad Program.
Substantial fellowships for study abroad at the European institutions are available starting September/October 2007. US students who are planning on or are currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree of Chemistry program at a US institution are invited to apply for the Atlantis program.
Limited supplemental scholarships are available to KU undergraduates. Applications are available at the Office of Study Abroad. You can also download the scholarship application. The scholarship application deadline is March 1 for Fall and October 1 for Spring.

Applications are available in the KU Office of Study Abroad. You can also download the application. Applications submitted after the deadline will only be considered with prior approval of the program coordinator at the Office of Study Abroad.
In addition to the KU Office of Study Abroad application form, KU students must also submit the Atlantis Application form. More information on this form, the Atlantis application procedures, and the faculty contacts can be found on the Atlantis program website.
