Withdrawal Information

If you choose to withdraw from the program to which you have been accepted, please contact the Office of Study Abroad (OSA) immediately for withdrawal instructions and paperwork (785-864-3742 or osa@ku.edu).

WITHDRAWAL POLICY
1. The KU OSA must be notified in writing of a participant's withdrawal.  The withdrawal will be effective the date the written notification is received at the KU OSA.

2. If, after accepting placement in the program (financial contract has been signed and submitted to KU OSA), a participant withdraws from the program s/he will be liable for any program deposits plus any non-recoverable expenses incurred on the participant's behalf.  In most cases very little, if any, of the program fee is recoverable after the balance of the program fee is due.

3. The participant is responsible for any and all costs arising out of his/her own voluntary or involuntary withdrawal from the program prior to its completion, including withdrawal caused by illness, failure to comply with mandatory conditions of participation, or disciplinary action by representatives of the University of Kansas.

4. Withdrawal may create immediate financial aid consequences or the need to repay scholarships.
